Lower Carbon Glass Partitions

At Radii Planet Group, we are committed to reducing the carbon footprint of commercial buildings with the introduction of a lower carbon glass option.

Lower-carbon glass is manufactured using a higher recycled content in the float glass production, helping reduce the consumption of raw materials and energy. It offers the same performance as traditional glass while helping to achieve sustainability goals.

As the construction industry evolves to meet global sustainability goals, the push for eco-friendly materials is stronger than ever. One such innovation is lower-carbon glass, which offers a sustainable alternative to traditional glass without compromising on quality or performance.

Lower-carbon glass is a revolutionary product designed to reduce the carbon footprint associated with traditional glass manufacturing. It is produced using a higher cullet content – broken or rejected glass – in the float glass, helping reduce the consumption of raw materials and energy. This helps to reduce carbon emissions and resource consumption throughout the production process

Why Choose Low-Carbon Glass for Commercial Interiors?

Using lower-carbon glass in commercial building interiors not only aligns with sustainability goals but also enhances the overall energy efficiency of the building. Whether used in glass partitions, windows, or doors, this innovative material helps businesses lower their operational carbon footprint and improve building performance without sacrificing style or functionality.

At Radii Planet Group, we are committed to integrating lower-carbon materials, like lower-carbon glass, into our product offerings to help clients reach their high standards in terms of performance and aesthetics, whilst also helping them meet their sustainability targets’

Guardian Nexa™ 6

Guardian Nexa 6 is a new lower-carbon glass that can be used across a wide range of facade applications to help reduce the embodied carbon of the built environment.

We are delighted to be partnering with Guardian Glass and Essex Safety Glass to offer our customers the opportunity to specify lower-carbon glass for their glazed partition packages. Guardian NEXA 6 lower-carbon glass has an embodied carbon value of 6.38 kg CO2e/m2 for a 4 mm glass thickness.

This represents a reduction of more than 30% when compared to standard4mm Guardian ExtraClear™ float glass. Guardian NEXA can be used as a base for acoustic laminated products.

These lower-carbon glass options are covered by Guardian’s third-party verified Environmental Product Declarations.

Using lower-carbon glass greatly reduces the carbon footprint of our partitions and doors without compromising performance or aesthetics
