Purpose
  • Manage and oversee projects from initiation to completion, including initial design phase, handover stage, construction approval, design involvement for buildability, and coordination with clients.
  • Manage and control site-based Project Teams and Sub-Contractors.
  • Monitor and deliver the Project Programme by providing detailed installation plans for Site Managers and Supervisors in line with Client Requirements.
  • Monitor project costs, manage change control, and ensure Health & Safety requirements are adhered to by all site employees.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Agree project objectives and ensure alignment with Client requirements.
  • Ensure understanding and representation of the Client’s interests.
  • Provide independent advice on the management of projects.
  • Supervise Project Teams and Sub-Contractors and ensure Sub-Contractor Guidelines are met.
  • Ensure Risk Assessments are carried out on site and maintain compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
  • Ensure provision of Method Statements to the Client prior to commencement of works.
  • Ensure all project aims are achieved.
  • Manage costs relating to labour, resources and materials and oversee project accounting, costing and billing.
  • Oversee procurement of materials.
  • Ensure adherence to quality and assurance protocols.
  • Problem solve and manage issues proactively.
  • Use specialist construction management software.
  • Maintain awareness of responsibilities under the Company’s integrated management systems covering Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures, including data protection legislation.
  • Work effectively without supervision.
  • Demonstrate commitment to personal development.
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably required.
Person Specification
  • Minimum of 4 years’ project management experience within the Partitioning, Structural Glass or Architectural Glazing industry.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience supervising labour teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Conscientious and committed approach.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Ideally NVQ Level 4 or above.
  • CSCS Black Card.
  • SMSTS.
  • IT literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (desirable).
