Role Overview
We are seeking a highly capable Level 2 IT Support Engineer to join our in-house IT function. The successful candidate will provide advanced technical support across the business, assist with infrastructure and security projects, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT environment.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), modern endpoint management, and secure-by-design practices aligned to Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus.
Key Responsibilities
End-User Support (L2)
  • Provide second-line support for incidents, service requests, and escalations.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across Windows 10/11, macOS, mobile devices, printers, and applications.
  • Take ownership of technical problems through to resolution, including cross-team coordination.
  • Support onboarding/offboarding processes and identity lifecycle management.
Microsoft 365 & Entra ID Administration
  • Manage and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Security & Compliance.
  • Administer Entra ID including users, groups, conditional access, MFA enforcement, and privileged roles.
  • Maintain security baselines and compliance controls across cloud services.
Device & Endpoint Management
  • Support configuration, deployment and management of Windows and macOS devices.
  • Apply secure configuration standards aligned with Cyber Essentials.
  • Administer policies via Intune, DattoRMM or Kandji where required.
Infrastructure & Networking
  • Support on-prem and cloud infrastructure including servers, storage, firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi.
  • Troubleshoot network issues including DNS, DHCP, routing, and VLANs.
  • Support site-to-site connectivity across multiple office and factory locations.
Security & Compliance
  • Work in accordance with Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus controls.
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation across endpoints and servers.
  • Respond to security alerts from SOC/SIEM tools and endpoint protection platforms.
  • Implement least-privilege, secure configuration, and patching practices.
Person Specification
Technical Skills
  • Microsoft 365 administration including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams and Compliance.
  • Strong Entra ID administration including conditional access.
  • Advanced support skills in Windows 10/11 and macOS.
  • Experience with Intune or other MDM/endpoint management platforms.
  • Networking fundamentals (VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
  • Experience in Cyber Essentials or CE+ governed environments.
  • PowerShell scripting (advantageous).
  • Understanding of SASE/Zero Trust architecture (beneficial).

Qualifications (Preferred, Not Essential)
  • CompTIA Network+, Security+ or equivalent.
  • Cyber Essentials / CE+ knowledge or hands-on experience.
  • ITIL Foundation (desirable).
Working Hours
8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Friday (with a one-hour lunch break).
Hours outside of standard working hours may occasionally be required.
