| Role Overview |
| To ensure deliveries and collections of partitioning materials are made nationwide, including London, in a timely, efficient, safe and reliable manner, in accordance with company standards. |
| Key Responsibilities |
- Conduct safety inspection of vehicle before departing to deliver goods, and on a regular basis, to ensure the vehicle is maintained to a roadworthy standard.
- Deliver orders to customers on assigned route in a safe, timely and professional manner. Deliveries/collections can range between 07:00 to 14:00.
- Ensure all packages are delivered to the correct address and in excellent condition.
- Complete all required paperwork for delivery and collection, ensuring delivery notes are signed.
- Comply with appropriate Working Time Legislation.
- Any other duties as may reasonably be required such as forklifting and warehouse work in Burgess Hill. Training will be given where appropriate.
- Complete required training to comply with FORS.
- Awareness and understanding of roles and responsibilities under Company’s integrated management systems in relation to Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental, and work within the Company’s Health and Safety and Environmental guidelines.
- Knowledge and understanding of Company’s policies and procedures in relation to confidentiality and data protection legislation, reporting any concerns to an appropriate person.
- Exercising own judgement and initiative.
- Working with limited supervision and with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

| Person Specification |
- Full and clean UK driving licence.
- Drivers must be age 25 years old plus.
- Experience in driving vans or light goods vehicles.
- Able to lift and move materials with a good understanding of manual handling and safe loading practices.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Effective organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and adhere to schedules and deadlines.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Inter-personal skills and an ability to work as part of a team and develop and maintain good working relationships.
- Health & safety training will be provided.

| Working Hours |
- Standard Hours are 39 hours per week. Hours will be in accordance with GOV.UK Document ‘Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency’.
- Hours outside of standard hours and additional hours may be required, as necessary, for deliveries.
- Flexibility and occasional Saturday deliveries will be required.
