Bronze-framed atrium glazing that draws natural light through all seven floors, creating a warm and striking architectural centrepiece.

THE CLIENT.

21 Bloomsbury is a major refurbishment and extension of a commercial office building in Camden. Designed to reposition the building as a high-quality workplace, the scheme brings together upgraded office accommodation, new amenities and a strong focus on occupier wellbeing and environmental performance.

With aspirations including BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Platinum, the project places natural light, material quality and user experience at the centre of the building’s transformation.

OUR SOLUTION.

Radii AG delivered the glazed atrium at the heart of 21 Bloomsbury, creating one of the building’s defining architectural features. As part of the wider refurbishment, the atrium brings a brighter, more open feel to the interior and strengthens the connection between levels.

Our package comprised Linear 30 single glazed atrium glazing with a dark bronze finish to the framework, designed to sit comfortably alongside the adjoining timber spandrel panels.

The combination of bronze and timber creates a warm, refined material palette across the space, while full height applied reeded film adds texture and privacy without reducing the flow of natural light.

Extending from the ground floor to Level 6, the atrium glazing was designed to draw natural light through all seven floors of the building.

Glazed Hogan pivoting doors with toughened glass were integrated within the scheme, and Radii AG also provided a FirePro E60 door to the lower ground café.

The completed atrium brings together architectural impact and technical performance, resulting in a light-filled central feature that enhances the character of 21 Bloomsbury.
