This bespoke project for Macquarie Bank was extremely challenging; working very closely with Clive Wilkinson Architects and Perkins&Will, we installed various designs of glass partitioning systems and fire rated glazing.

With meticulous attention to detail right down to the colour branding, our designers and installation team were excited to work on such a monumental project and design, manufacture and install a series of 'suspended' pods with a very challenging programme and design brief.

OUR SOLUTION.

Our team had to design a glass pod system that was suspended on a floor plate cut-out from the existing slab to form a new atrium over six floors steel. This included pods interlinking over three floors into one seamless 'three tier' pod.

A sub-structure was developed to achieve the unique shapes specified in the architectural brief, while pods also had to be a striking design to complement the adjacent staircase.

Our team managed to deliver on this and ensure pods were structurally safe and with relevant structural calculations, calculating the slab positions between three tier pod to ensure they interlinked correctly.

As well as structural integrity, our team then finished the internal space with the addition of integral Metsec ceilings to take ceiling tiles, air conditioning and lighting.
