Our contracting team responsible for projects in Scotland worked closely with architects Sheppard Robson and Morrison Construction on the Barony Campus build. Working to a highly creative brief, Planet install several of our glass and metal solutions to meet the various acoustic and structural performance requirements throughout the campus.

For classrooms, our frameless PURE20 partitioning system — with minimal framework and acoustic performance up to 40dB Rw — was installed, with our PURE100 double-glazed system (up to 54dB Rw) utilised in areas where an uplift in acoustic attenuation was required.

For circulation areas, such as the viewing gallery above the campus’ multi-purpose sports hall, Planet installed non-fire rated PURE20XL atrium screens (up to 3000mm in height). For areas where fire rated screens were required, Planet used two solutions from the RPG Fire Range: FireStop (Ei60) and FireTec (Ei60).

All atrium screens were designed to comply with all SER regulations to satisfy the project certifier. Design of our glazed screens were undertaken with our in-house designers to ensure the proposed systems complied with all barrier loadings and winds loadings in line with the relevant British Standard Documents.
