PROJECT. OBJECTIVES

Client EQT Partners

Swedish Global Investment Firm, EQT Partners, have offices everywhere from Amsterdam to Shanghai, and recently acquired a new space in London to house their rapidly growing team.

Vetoing ‘The City’, EQT instead chose to reside in trendy Soho. A new commercial development, Thirty Broadwick Street, which enjoys outdoor terraces, cycling spaces and a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’, in the heart of Soho, provided the perfect space.

OUR
SOLUTION.

Scott Brownrigg approached Planet  requesting a glazed partitioning and door package, with a requirement of meeting various acoustic performance levels, having the overall deflection height of different systems matching was another important priority for this prestigious office.

In areas where high acoustics were the priority, such as meeting rooms and the Boardroom, double-glazed LOFT54, partnered with double-glazed IsoPro doors, were specified. This combination has the benefit of striking aesthetics, as both products use the same 54mm framework, and the IsoPro door sits fully flushed on both sides of the LOFT54 screens. Additionally, the IsoPro doors had banding applied, to match the corresponding LOFT54 partitioning.

Where acoustic performance did not need to be exceptionally high, PURE20 glazed partitioning screens and IsoTec slim framed glass doors were used for office fronts.

    PROJECT INSIGHTS.

Main Contractor, Collins Construction, required a fast-track installation program. With the building being in the heart of Soho, its heavy traffic and narrow streets meant getting materials to site was a challenge. However, Planet completed the installation in good time and was praised by both Collins and EQT Partners for the high standard of their products

Thirty Broadwick Street went on to win the OAS Development Awards for ‘Best West End New Build 2017’.
