The steel-clad FirePro system comes in single and double-glazed variations, certified up to EI120 (integrity & insulation) and with a vast array of ironmongery solutions. Suitable for all high-end environments including retail, commercial, public, or residential, the system can be finished in a brushed, bright polished or polyester powder coated finish as well as offering wider profile openings.

The FirePro 'E' Integrity only system pushes the boundaries of specification without compromising aesthetics. Stile sections measuring just 29mm wide can be clad in a variety of materials and finishes to meet your aesthetical requirements.

FirePro's 'Ei' Integrity and insulation system is tested to EN standards and can achieve up to 120 minutes with insulation and 120 minutes integrity.

This insulated system also has flexibility with regards to ironmongery, allowing stile mounted handles to be specified rather than traditional full height handles.

LPCB certification is issued by BRE and covers the installation process rather than the product alone, so it sits alongside the Certifire product certification held by the systems themselves.

FirePro sub-floor componentry maintaining fire integrity beneath a raised access floor

Underfloor system

A sub-floor componentry system maintains fire integrity down to the floor spring. By bridging the gap between the slab and the top of the raised access floor, FirePro is tested for underfloor performance beneath both doorsets and glazing, so screens, doors and underfloor separation come from one supplier.

Access control

FirePro's optional electric lock sits in the head of the door frame, fully concealed, with the prefabrication carried out in our own factory. It pairs with a pre-machined security post housing break glass units, press to exit buttons and access control fob readers.

Concealed deflection

FirePro screens are available with a concealed deflection head, keeping the head detail free of visible movement joints where sightlines matter. Screen deflection is plus or minus 25mm.

Tech panels

Doorsets can be specified with a fully tested tech panel, letting architects integrate room booking systems, press to exit buttons or access control readers directly alongside a certified doorset.

Height

Integrity only doors can be specified as unlatched single and double doorsets up to 3000mm, and integrity and insulation doors up to 2924mm. The overhead closer mounts to the head of the door frame rather than onto a transom, giving cleaner sight lines.

Glass joints

Clear butt joints and mitred corner joints give a clean finish without visible black lines. Butt jointed glazing can also be installed beneath deflection heads, giving more freedom in how a screen meets the slab.

What is the difference between an E rating and an Ei rating?

An integrity-only (E) rating means a solution prevents the passage of fire, but not the passage of heat. An integrity and insulation (EI) rating not only prevents the passage of flames and hot gases, but also limits heat transfer from one side to the other. What fire ratings are available across the Radii Planet Group range, from E30 to Ei120?

Our fire-rated systems include E and EI ratings for doors up to 60 minutes (E60 / EI60), and fire-rated screens up to 120 minutes (E120 / EI120). Fire ratings vary depending on the system type and frame material, as well as the protection direction required (mono- or bi-directional).

Which fire-rated system suits integrity only protection, and which suits integrity and insulation?

Our FireClear range is available with integrity-only ratings, while FireStop provides integrity and insulation. FirePro is available with either integrity-only or integrity-and-insulation ratings. The most suitable option will depend on the required fire rating and project specification.

Can fire-rated glazed screens and doors also provide acoustic performance?

Yes. Fire-rated glazed screens and doors can also provide acoustic performance, although the acoustic rating of fire doors is typically a secondary requirement alongside their primary fire-resistance function.

Are the systems tested and certified to UK and European standards?

Yes, the FireClear range is tested to UK standards only, and the FirePro range is tested to European standards.

Can fire-rated glazing be matched visually to non fire-rated partitions on the same project?

Fire-rated glazing is typically much thicker than standard glazing, so achieving an exact visual match can be challenging. However, low-iron glass options are available for most fire ratings, helping to minimise the difference between fire-rated and non-fire-rated partitions. Contact the Radii Planet Group team to discuss the most suitable options for your project.

What is supplied to demonstrate compliance after installation?

Following installation, BRE installation certification and fire certification are supplied within the O&M manual to demonstrate compliance.

Are Environmental Product Declarations available for the fire-rated range?

Yes. We have published Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for our FirePro range of fire-rated screens and doors, covering both E and Ei ratings.
