The National Centre is a four-storey building in which the majority of the meeting rooms are on the ground floor, to encourage interaction, community and teamwork. For the meeting rooms to ensure outstanding sound attenuation, Planet Partitioning fitted PURE100 double glazed partitioning and glass doors.

To ensure time and cost efficiency, Planet’s design team worked with the main contractor and architect to ensure the right choice of standard deflection heads and allow for +/- 25mm movement – rather than design and manufacture a multitude of bespoke deflection heads.

For a number of key meeting rooms on the ground floor, Planet integrated several booking systems into the meeting room glass panels, hiding the wiring within the doorframes. This was a more innovative and modern approach than the industry standard of integrating booking systems directly onto a solid panel.

Planet also installed PURE20 single glazed demountable partitioning for a range of brightly coloured ‘eco cabins’ dotted throughout the building.
