PROJECT. OBJECTIVES

Client Ascot Group

The Ascot Group are a global specialty insurance and reinsurance organisation. After they took possession
of over 30,000 sq. ft of premium commercial office space on the 33rd floor of 20 Fenchurch Street, Radii were brought into this project by contractor Overbury and architects Aukett Swanke to help transform it into a dynamic new London headquarters.

The client’s primary objective was to produce an area that, when combined with the impressive views of the London skyline, would create a collaborative, inclusive and entrepreneurial environment that would allow their employees to flourish.

The Ascot Group also possess a vibrant and memorable brand identity, which they were keen to reference throughout the space with colourful motifs on several built elements.

Our
solution.

For meeting areas Radii installed single glazed partitioning fronts from our 2D Linear 25mm system (38dB RW) as well as double glazed fronts from our 2D Parallel 50mm system (45 dB RW), with glazed Hogan pivoting doors (38dB RW) completing the set. Moreover many glazed partitions were finished with a variety of coloured film manifestations, some strategically placed to draw the eye to the stunning views of the City of London.

Radii also worked with the Ascot Group to deliver an innovative entrance experience to their new headquarters. Starting with entrance through a lift lobby finished with black back-painted glass, guests then move through an innovative ‘tunnel of light’ of glass wall sections that light up in the client’s corporate logo colours as they progress to the reception area.

Project insights.

Our work for the Ascot Group was a truly enjoyable project to be brought into, with the ‘tunnel of light’ a particular highlight. The very nature of glazed partitioning can give clients and architects a ‘blank canvas’ to build upon, with Radii then lending our expertise in bespoke solutions to advise and help achieve their vision.
