THE CLIENT.

This client’s move to a new 110,000+ sq ft workspace in London aims to provide a fresh and dynamic environment that promotes community and reflects their collaborative culture. The client’s ESG programme also means that circular materials and reducing embodied carbon at every opportunity is of utmost importance to achieve sustainability targets.

THE CHALLENGE.

The design by architects tp bennett would use the interplay of natural light and open space to create visual transparency and connection between meeting rooms, collaboration zones and amenity spaces across all four floors. Neutral colours and natural materials would be a key feature, while the client’s branding also being used throughout.

The glazing package was therefore integral to the success of the final fit out, comprising partition fronts for over 100 separate rooms, bespoke timber elements, doors and structural fire rated atrium glazing.

OUR SOLUTION.

Radii’s Pre-Construction Design Department worked closely with architects tp bennett to create a tailored package that fulfilled all project requirements.

Our Dovetail 64 timber framed system — that through extensive material tracking during manufacture drastically reduces wastage — was used to create multiple bespoke elements including eye-catching timber doors and partition frames. These were finished in a beautiful custom Hornblende Green colour to seamlessly match the natural colour palette of the space.

The majority of the glazed fronts comprised our popular single-glazed Linear 30 (Rw 40 dB) and double-glazed Parallel 50 (Rw 45 dB) partition systems and Hogan pivoting doors, installed alongside Dovetail timber tech panels and pilasters. These screens were finished with manifestation containing low, medium or high density privacy lines depending on the space.

For structural fire rated glazing, Radii manufactured and installed FirePro Ei90 and Ei30 screens with mitred corners and FirePro Ei60 and Ei30 double fire doors around the client’s newly built internal staircase.

All Radii’s work contributed towards a fantastic final workplace for this client, allowing passage of light from both the building’s exterior and through the building’s centerpiece 12-storey angled central atrium — installed in 2021 by Radii’s specialist architectural glazing division.

Through our sustainable approach to work, in-depth consultative design process and acoustic expertise Radii were able to greatly contribute towards a fantastic final fit out that aims to achieve both BREEAM Excellent and WELL Gold recognition.
