Purpose

To assist with the day to day running of the warehouse in accordance with company standards in order to ensure optimum efficiency and reliability.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

To carry out various activities within the warehouse operation, including but not limited to:

  • PPC Pigeonholing
  • PPC Wrapping Activities
  • Door assembly and preparation.
  • Materials handling.
  • Stock control.
  • Goods in/receiving.
  • Order packing.
  • Quality control activities.
  • External deliveries and collection, including driving.
  • Use of light fabrication machinery.
  • General warehouse duties including the use of workshop equipment.
  • Exercising own judgement and initiative.
  • Working with limited supervision and with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to own personal development within the post.
  • Any other duties as may reasonable be required.
  • Ensure knowledge and awareness of your roles and responsibilities under the Company’s integrated management systems in relation to Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental. 
  • Ensure knowledge and understanding of the Company’s policies and procedures in relation to data protection legislation.

 

Person Specification

  • Experience of working in a production / manufacturing environment.
  • Effective organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Inter-personal skills and an ability to work as part of a team and develop and maintain good working relationships.
  • Positive with a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively and responsibly, exercising discretion when necessary, without close supervision.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and time constraints.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to high standards and delivering quality.
  • Willingness and to desire to understand and operate across other production areas.
  • Health & Safety Training.

 

Hours and Environment

  • 25 hours per week working on a shift pattern to be determined by local management.
  • Hours outside of standard hours may be required, as necessary, for deliveries.
